I found the Grolloo Flute Session an incredibly inspiring experience. It allowed me to discover my strengths and weaknesses as a performer, open up to new ideas in my performance (breathing, warm up, extended techniques which were completely new to me) and collaborate with players from all around the world. Having the opportunity to watch my performance in a masterclass immediately after, have time to absorb this and only then discuss it all as a group was definitely a useful one. It meant that I could objectively consider the good and bad in my performance and perhaps realise than how you feel straight after a performance does not necessarily reflect how it went!! Definitely the highlight of my summer. Thank you! I can’t wait for next year… :)
